You can enjoy the unrestricted views across the countryside with the Ochil Hills to the north and River Forth to the east while relaxing in the garden after a hard day’s sightseeing.

South Doll Farm Cottage is situated 2.1 miles from the closest small village of Dunmore which lies along the road between Throsk and Airth on the banks of the River Forth. The cottage is ideally placed for visiting Stirling or Falkirk, as well as being almost equidistant from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The close proximity to both Kincardine and Clackmannanshire bridges also enables easy access to the Kingdom of Fife and beyond.

FACILITIES
On the ground floor the entrance hallway leads to the twin and 1 kingsize bedroom both of which share the large shower room also located on this floor. The open plan lounge/ dining area has ample seating and dining space for 8 and the uniquely shaped kitchen , which was originally the Dairy Parlour, has everything you need for a self-catering holiday: fridge freezer, electric hob, oven, microwave washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher.

On the upper floor you will find a further kingsize bedroom and a large single room which share the large family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. The spacious hall landing is kitted out with bean bags and chairs providing a chill out area away from the rest of the house.

Sleeping four people  in two bedrooms , one with ensuite facilities, this first floor apartment is ideal for couples and families. One person can be accommodated on the double sofa bed situated in the lounge if a separate bed is required for the fourth person.  . A small additional fee is applicable.

Situated on the first floor, the one level accommodation comprises of a large , welcoming hallway , open plan kitchen/living room with seating and dining facilities for four people plus a sofa bed, one king size bedroom with en suite facilities, one double bedroom and a large family bathroom.

The fully equipped, modern kitchen boasts a large fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery , pots, pans and oven ware to make your self-catering holiday as relaxing as possible. A tumble drier is also in place in the apartment.

Off street parking for one car is also provided although there is no need for a car whilst staying here as it is so conveniently located for public transport links.

Recently modernised and furnished to an exceptionally high standard this unique property offers a twist on the traditional farmhouse. With views to Stirling Castle from the bedrooms on the top floor this house will provide a perfect base for your holiday in Scotland.

Set over three floors there is ample living and dining space for up to 10 people (maximum of 6 adults and 4 children at any one time). The accommodation comprises of an impressive, spacious lounge with fireplace, gas burner log fire and large plasma Freeview TV. There are patio doors leading from this room to the small rear patio garden. This room is a wonderful place to relax in with comfy seating for up to 10 guests.

The fully fitted farmhouse kitchen has everything needed for a comfortable stay: large farmhouse table that can easily seat 10 people, dishwasher, range cooker with five ring gas hob and two electric ovens, microwave and American style fridge/freezer. The kitchen leads to a separate Utility Room with washing machine and tumble drier.

Also on the lower floor is a small cloakroom with hanging space and a separate WC.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms: the master King-size en suite with large walk in drench shower and large walk in closet; a further king-size bedroom and double ensuite bedroom complete this floor.

On the top floor there are a further two bedrooms: one king-size and one with zip and link beds giving the option of either one king-size or two single beds. This floor also boasts a further two bathrooms both with over bath showers.

Harviestoun House is a totally refurbished 2 storey sandstone cottage in the heart of Dollar, a picturesque small town at the foot of the Ochil Hills.

Steeped in history, Dollar has all facilities including cafes, restaurants and shopping on your doorstep, and lies only 13 miles east of the historic city of Stirling.

Harviestoun House comfortably sleeps 8 people in four bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom one, with en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobe, has the flexibility of being either 2 twin beds or one superking size bed. Bedroom two has a double bed. Upstairs, reached from the galleried landing, bedrooms three and four can be either twin rooms or have superking size beds. Both rooms share a modern bathroom with over-bath shower.

Downstairs the double height sitting room seats 8 people on two three-seater sofas and one two-seater sofa. There is a log burning stove for you to return to after sightseeing or walking in this beautiful area in the heart of Scotland. The sitting room, like all other rooms, has all new furniture and fittings and gas central heating.

The kitchen, with all modern conveniences including 4 ring gas stove and double electric oven, has a dining table for 8 people and a television with Freeview. Leading from the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Also just off the kitchen is a sunroom which leads to the courtyard garden with outdoor seating and barbecue.

As well as being close to Stirling, Dollar is within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh and St Andrews to the east, so you are perfectly situated to take advantage of all Scotland has to offer from this central location. Closer at hand, visit 500 year old Castle Campbell, lowland seat of the Duke of Argyll, where Mary, Queen of Scots once lived in the 16th Century.

The walk to the castle is by a spectacular series of paths, bridges and walkways in the deep gorges of the glen and its tributaries. Dollar’s other facilities include a small museum and 18 hole golf course notable for its steep inclines and lack of bunkers.
